Is it really free?
Yes. Uploading a document, extracting your signature, and downloading the signed PDF costs nothing and doesn't need an account.
Do you store my PDF or my signature?
No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript — your files are read into your browser's memory, processed there, and written back out. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so there's nothing for us to store, lose, or hand over.
Is this a legally binding signature?
It creates a basic electronic signature — an image of your signature placed on the document. That's often enough for everyday paperwork, but it doesn't include the identity verification, audit trail, or tamper-evident certificate that dedicated e-signature platforms provide. For contracts where legal enforceability really matters, check what your jurisdiction requires (in the US, the ESIGN Act and UETA; in the EU, eIDAS) before relying on it.
What kind of photo works best?
Dark ink on plain, evenly lit paper, photographed straight-on. Shadows, glare, or very light ink can confuse the background removal — if that happens, the "background cutoff" slider on the signing page usually fixes it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. You can either upload an existing photo or use the "Use camera" button to photograph your signature directly, then crop and place it — all from your phone's browser.
Does it work on multi-page PDFs?
Yes. Use the page navigation in the signing step to move to the page you want, and your signature will be placed on whichever page is showing. If you need the same signature stamped on several pages — initialing every page of a contract, for example — there's an optional "stamp other pages" field that repeats it in the same spot on whichever pages you list.
Can I add a date or my initials next to my signature?
Yes, optionally. There's a toggle in the placement step that adds an editable text box you can drag into place alongside your signature — off by default, so it's there only if you want it.
Do I have to re-photograph my signature every time?
No. Your browser can remember your extracted signature and ink settings on your own device, so it's ready next time you visit — nothing is sent anywhere to do this, and you can clear it at any time from the link in the footer.
What file types are supported?
The document must be a PDF. The signature source can be any common image format — JPG, PNG, or a photo straight from your camera.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no hard limit set by the tool, but since everything processes on your own device, very large PDFs (hundreds of pages, or scanned at very high resolution) will take longer and depend on your device's memory.
I found a bug or something looks wrong. Who do I tell?
See the contact details on the About page — reports like that are genuinely useful and get looked at.
